Company Background

Jim Camardello is dedicated to repairing musical instruments and serving the repair needs of school music programs. His roots in repair date back over 50 years. Jim's dad, Sam Camardello, was an instrumental music teacher in Dolgeville, New York, who decided to learn instrument repair in order to maintain his own program as well as to help supplement the income for his family. He started Camardello's Band Instrument Repair shop, which gradually grew into a full service school music specialty store, handling sales, rentals, and repairs for the Mohawk Valley and surrounding areas. It was there that Jim learned the business of musical instrument repair, handling the needs of both student and professional musicians alike for the past 50 years. Though Sam is no longer with us, Jim continued on in his father's footsteps, providing personal, reliable, expert repair service to area musicians along with the benefits of a small flexible staff.

Over the years, Jim made the decision to return to his roots as strictly a repair facility. With the rising cost of instruments and supplies, and the need by each school district to maximize its equipment spending, the time for him to gracefully bow out of sales and rentals had come. Those needs are better filled by larger warehousing operations, who can deliver the most product for your dollar.
